In the world of Cat Comixz, the deceased are cremated, and their ashes are buried with some kind of seeds or acorns that grow into a tree. Epitaphs are kept nearby until the trees mature, at which point they are placed on the tree proper.

The beauty of all that can be slightly undermined by the nosy ghosts that are bad at minding their own business.

Caption: It all started on the evening of October 31st...
The spirits of the deceased rose from their forest graves...
And returned to the loved ones they knew in life...
to strike FEAR in their hearts!
But strangely, by November 2nd... 
all of the spirits returned to their graves in the groves.
Yet every year since, the cycle has repeated just the same...
Once October 31st comes around, everyone becomes fearful of their deceased relatives returning...
Melody's Grandma: MELODY!
Melody: AHH!
